Sad and Excited [28 May 2009|04:19pm] Well, about to board the plane from the self proclaimed "Queen City" (Charlotte) to the real Queen City, San Francisco... There I will doing an artist residency with one of my closest friend's new shop, The Good Shop SF for two months or so before heading out to Berlin to work with Peggy Noland either helping her open her pop up store or going a bit later to help out with Berlin Fashion Week... Whoop Dee Doo is doing an event in Sweden right after and would be oh so nice to just hop on over and tag along with those crazy kids but even if that doesn't happen I will still be trekking back over to Brussels to work with JP again for as long as my money will hold out. Although this is exciting and totally going to be way fun and what I have wanted since I was a little kid (to aimlessly roam a foreign land) I did have to up root my life in Chicago leaving behind best friends, a wonderful boyfriend, my cats, and six or seven bags of thriftstore clothes. Its bittersweet for sure, but I swear I am not complaining. Oh yeah, way late but RIP HEAVENLY ANGEL,OCTAVIA ST.LAURENT, you were my favorite and so beautiful it hurt me to watch Paris is Burning, I am so sad that I was never able to meet you. post comment
